"With the help of the Law Centre I have been provided with a council tenancy on the ground floor with level access."
Maureen
Upon approaching the Law Centre, our client, a disabled elderly woman, was living in temporary accommodation provided by Camden Council that was completely unsuitable for her.
The property was a B&B that lacked access to a level access shower. She was unable to access the shared toilet facilities with her Zimmer frame due to the narrowness of the corridor. She had been living in this accommodation for nearly 2 years.
We proceeded to assist the client in obtaining medical priority on the housing register, arguing the accommodation was severely and negatively impacting her health and wellbeing. With our assistance, she was provided with a council tenancy within the London Borough of Camden. The property is on the ground floor and level access.
